Decision Journal is designed to keep your journal under your control. The app has no advertising SDK, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics, or developer-operated data server.
Decision entries, drafts, reviews, tags, attachments, and preferences are stored on your device. If you choose to enable iCloud sync with Pro Lifetime, this content is also sent to your private CloudKit database in your Apple Account so it can sync across your devices. The developer does not operate a server that receives or reads this content.
Review reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Notification permission is requested only when you enable reminders.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Decision Journal receives only the entitlement information needed to unlock Pro Lifetime and does not receive your payment-card details.
Files you import remain with the relevant decision in the storage mode you choose. Markdown, CSV, and PDF exports are created only when you request them. Exports are not encrypted by Decision Journal after they leave the app, so you are responsible for storing and sharing them safely.
Local content remains until you delete entries or remove the app. Turning off iCloud sync stops future journal changes from syncing, but it does not delete an existing copy from your private iCloud database. You can remove Decision Journal data through your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings. Apple’s handling of iCloud and App Store data is governed by Apple’s privacy policies.
Decision Journal does not track you across apps or websites and does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs.
This policy may change when the app’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when that happens.
